Oh lala, what a change! Out of the cities and into the countryside of Occitania, in the middle of wineyards was my next stop for 5 days – dog sitting in Marcel sur Aude. A tiny village in the southwest of France, not far from the spanish border.<\/p>\n
It was superlovely, the dogs Rose and Izzy where sweethearts, Izzy around 14, a bit of a hip problem with her arthrosis and Rose still young and wild with her 4 years. Marcel sur Aude is a wine-making village close to Narbonne and apart from wineyards, a bakery and some shops there is nothing but calmness and nature. It’s a little paradise to relaxe and have nice walks or bike-rides. The village next to it is Someil- at the Canal du midi, supernice slow boats and a massive library which you wouldn’t expect in this rural area.<\/p>\n
It was my first experience in house- and petsitting with the platform trustedhousesitters.com and it went super well. The host Simone was lovely and to be with the dogs in this beautiful surrounding was also very nice. I would highly recommend it!<\/p>\n
